Troy-Albany Youth Hockey Association

Established in 1948, the Troy-Albany Youth Hockey Association has evolved into a multi-division program providing an environment for boys & girls in "Pursuit of Excellence" on and off the ice.
TAYHA is a member of the New York State Amateur Hockey Association and is "Tournament Bound" at the Tier I level. Throughout its rich history, many TAYHA players have gone on to play college and professional hockey. TAYHA is proud of the thousands of players who have worked hard and sacrificed in their "Pursuit of Excellence" and appreciate the skills and techniques necessary to play the game of hockey.
RPI alumni, men’s head coach Seth Appert and his RPI varsity hockey team are actively involved with TAYHA players. In 2007-2008, every TAYHA team was assigned RPI varsity hockey players. These players assist TAYHA coaches and players with drills, practices and games. In addition, house teams and combined teams skate as the TAYHA Jr. Engineers. Coach Appert and RPI players and alumni also run TAYHA’s spring skills sessions.
