Did all stations end analog broadcast on June 12, 2009?

Answer:

Federal law required all “full power” stations to turn off their analog broadcast on or before June 12, 2009. This requirement did not include “low power” stations such as:

• “Low-power” or “community” stations of very restricted range (LPTV)
• “Class A” stations
• “Translator” and “booster” stations

At present, these stations are still permitted to broadcast in analog after June 12, 2009.
