Question:

Is DTV the same as Digital Cable?

Answer:

No. Digital television (DTV) is a new type of broadcasting technology that transmits information in “data bits” (much like a computer) to make a TV picture and sound. Digital Cable from Time Warner Cable is an upgrade from your basic cable package and requires digital equipment, such as a digital set-top box. Digital Cable offers additional viewing options including On Demand programming, an upgrade to HD service, more channels and an easy-to-use on-screen program guide. Digital Cable can be watched on your existing analog television if you have a Digital Cable set-top box. And if you have an HDTV television set and HD-compatible Digital Cable equipment, you can view our high-definition programming.
