Road Runner Web Mail is an easy-to-use messaging system that gives you access to e-mail from your home computer. With Road Runner Web Mail you have the ability to check your e-mail from any computer with Internet access. An e-mail account is assigned automatically, at no extra cost, to each new Road Runner Internet subscriber at the time the service is activated.

 

To provide better and more competitive e-mail services, Road Runner Web Mail offers features such as an online address book, increased storage, message sorting, and strengthened Web Mail capabilities. With Road Runner Web Mail you also have a secure and safe e-mail exchange, including parental controls, mail filtering, blocking capabilities, and user authentication.

Service and Storage
The amount of storage per account and the number of sub-accounts depends upon the service purchased.

 

Lite/Basic Internet service includes:

  • 5 mailboxes per subscriber
  • 100 MB for e-mail storage
  • 20 MB for the default sub-account

 

Standard Internet service includes:

  • 10 mailboxes per subscriber
  • 2 GB for e-mail storage
  • 100 MB for the default sub-account

 

Turbo Internet service includes:

  • 25 mailboxes per subscriber
  • 5 GB for e-mail storage
  • 100 MB for the default sub-account

   

Accounts
There is only one master account per household, usually in the name of the bill payer. Master account e-mail addresses are configured automatically and cannot be changed by the subscriber once activated. Road Runner provides master e-mail account holders with the option of activating sub-accounts with unique e-mail addresses and separate access screens.


 

Limits
Receiving Limits
There is a total message size of 30MB, including attachments, which can be received into accounts. Adequate storage space must be available for the e-mail to be received.

 

Sending Limits
Subscribers can send e-mails of up to 30MB in total size, including attachments. Subscribers are allowed to send e-mails to up to 1,000 recipients every 24 hours per IP address. E-mails can have up to 99 recipients in each of the To and CC fields.

 

 

Address Book
Road Runner Web Mail provides an address book called Contacts. This new feature gives you the ability to:

  • Create a new contact
  • Create a contact group
  • Delete a contact or group entry
  • Search for a contact or a contact group
  • Send a message from the address book

 

Security
With Road Runner Web Mail both incoming and outgoing e-mail messages are scanned for viruses and infected messages will be discarded. Suspected spam can be delivered to the Inbox, delivered and prefixed with "spam" in the subject line, placed directly into a junk e-mail folder, or deleted.
