Q:If I have a cable-ready HDTV set, do I need a CableCARD or special HD set-top box to view HD programming?
A:

A cable-ready HDTV does not require a set-top box to receive HD programming on broadcast channels. When used with a CableCARD, these TV sets will receive any Time Warner Cable Digital Cable premium channels that you currently subscribe to (e.g. ESPN, HBO or Showtime). At this time, a Time Warner Cable digital cable set-top box is required to receive On Demand and our On-Screen Program Guide services.
