24 hours a day, seven days a week, there are almost endless programs on TV. Improved DVR controls and features will keep you from missing the best of them. As you explore the DVR menu you’ll discover features that will help you easily record programs. For instance, by linking DVR with the redesigned Navigator™ we make it possible to find shows up to two weeks in advance and set them to record with the touch of a button.
Use the on screen program guide to find shows that are playing on TV now. Press the button on your remote control to see the main DVR screen.
Record a Currently Playing Program
Tune to a program.
Press the "REC" button on your remote control
View Scheduled Upcoming Shows
Press "LIST" to access Show List
Arrow left/right to highlight Scheduled Recordings
Arrow up/down to select By Title or By Date
Press “Select”
When the list of Scheduled Recordings displays, arrow up/down to select the desired show
Press “Select” to bring up the “Select an Option” screen
Arrow up/down to highlight the desired option (Cancel Recording, Record Options, Record Series, Back to List, Exit)
Press "Select"
Play Recorded Shows by Date
Press "LIST" to access Show List
Arrow left/right to highlight By Date
Arrow up/down to scroll through the list of recorded programs
Press "Select"
Play Recorded Shows by Title
Press "LIST"to access Show List
Arrow left/right to highlight By Title
Arrow up/down to scroll through the list of recorded programs
Press "Select"
Record a Program from the Guide
To record show, find its title in the Program Guide.
Press "Record" for an upcoming highlighted show
When the “Select an Option” screen displays, arrow up/down to “RecordThisShow” and press “Select”
Do Not Delete
Press "LIST"to access Show List
Use the left/right arrows to select a program from the vertical list.
Press "Select." The options screen for the program appears.
Highlight Record Options. Press "Select."
Highlight Change Save Time, use the right/left arrows to highlight
Do Not Delete. Press "Select
The Do Not Delete icon now appears to the left of the program title.
New Recording Conflict Resolution
When a show doesn’t broadcast as planned, a red conflict icon will appear next to the program in the upcoming show list. If the program is in conflict with other recordings you’ve scheduled, a series of options will appear on-screen to help easily resolve the problem.
Tuner Conflict
When both tuners of the cable box are being used to record programs the viewer may not tune to watch a third program without first stopping one of the recordings already in-progress
In this situation when the viewer attempts to change channels, they are presented with a tuner conflict dialog. Press "Select" or "A" to stop one of the recordings. Press "C" to keep both recordings and don’t change channels.
Resolve Conflicts
Press "LIST"to access Show List
Arrow left/right to highlight Scheduled Recordings
Arrow up/down to By Title or By Date and press “Select”
When the list of Scheduled Recordings - By Title displays, arrow up/down
If a conflict icon appears on in the list, highlight that program and press "Select" to display the options screen
Press "Select" with Resolve Conflict as the highlighted option
The Conflict Resolution screen displays. Press "Select" or "A" to cancel one of the shows causing the conflict. Press "C" to cancel the Scheduled Recording
