We have a rich history of supporting programs and projects in many of the communities we serve in the Carolinas. Our support comes in a variety of forms including financial contributions, in-kind donations such as television production and promotional airtime, and through employee volunteerism.
Time Warner Cable has undergone a strategic review of our philanthropic efforts, both locally and nationally. We have chosen to focus our community outreach and philanthropy on our new company wide initiative Connect a Million Minds, which aligns more closely with our business objectives and core competencies. This five year initiative commits a majority of our philanthropic resources, both cash and in-kind contributions, to connect middle school students to science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) learning opportunities which we hope will inspire them to develop the important skills they'll need to become the problem solvers of tomorrow.
If you have or develop any projects or programs that have similar goals, we encourage you to apply for a grant through our website connectamillionminds.com.
In the past, Time Warner Cable has supported non-profit organizations and causes that have touched the lives of thousands of area residents and have effectively helped strengthen our communities. Though our primary community focus will be on Connect a Million Minds, we still plan to carry on this tradition of investing company resources in worthwhile community projects. If you have a community program or project you think would benefit from Time Warner Cable’s support, please feel free to contact the Public Affairs department at your local Time Warner Cable office.
