Time Warner Cable Kansas City is proud to introduce a free service, exclusively for Kansas City Road Runner customers, called Road Runner Speed Zone. In selected areas, you can now connect to the Internet using your laptop and wireless card, via Wi-Fi technology.
Features and Benefits:
- Free Roaming - Limited to Kansas City Road Runner customers (Road Runner email and password required to log in).
- Connection Speeds - Up to 3Mb down x 2Mb up via the Road Runner Network.
- SMTP - Simple Mail Transport Protocol forwarding capabilities allow users to send and receive email using the Road Runner Speed Zone network.
- Security - Road Runner Speed Zone provides end-user authentication and billing/reconciliation for all hot spot users, preventing hackers and unauthorized patrons from using the Speed Zone network.
- Available at The Country Club Plaza and The Legends at Village West.

Log on to Speed Zone in 4 easy steps:
- Turn on your laptop or PDA and open its Wireless Network Connection dialogue box.
- Locate the Wireless Networks tab and enter or select Road Runner Speed Zone as your wireless SSID connection service.
- Launch your preferred web browser (such as Microsoft Internet Explorer).
- Follow the Speed Zone log-on instructions.
