Teacher Showcase

 

Congratulations to this year’s Teacher Showcase for Learning Grant Recipients.  The following teachers have been awarded $500 grants to purchase technology that will be used in the classroom to provide creative learning experiences:

 

  • Washington High School, Washington Court House – Gist Settlement Archeology, submitted by social studies teacher Paul LaRue.  The school received a $500 grant for new magnetic susceptibility technology and sonar equipment to map out a field of the Gist Settlement.

  • McClain High School, Greenfield - What was Invented in our Hometown? submitted by industrial technology teacher Christopher Dodds. The school received a $500 grant for a digital camera to interview and develop digital media to make video documentation of local inventions and inventors.

  • Gahanna Lincoln High School, Gahanna – Honor Flight Documentary, submitted by broadcast journalism teacher Tom Gregory.  The school received $500 for a video camera, mini DVDs and a microphone to interview veterans and Honor Flight personnel.
