i-Guide & Your DVR

24 hours a day, seven days a week, there are almost endless programs on TV. Improved DVR controls and features will keep you from missing the best of them. As you explore the DVR menu you’ll discover features that will help you easily record programs. For instance, by linking DVR with the i-Guide we make it possible to find shows up to two weeks in advance and set them to record with the touch of a button.

 

Access DVR via the “DVR” button on your remote, the DVR icon on the Quick Menu, or from the Main Menu.
 

One Touch Recording

  • Press “Record” on your remote any time while watching TV or while navigating through the guide
  • For programs airing now, recording begins immediately at the point you pressed “Record
  • You can automatically schedule recordings for programs starting at a later time or date by pressing “Record” while in the listings
  • Recording will start at the program’s scheduled start time

Record a Series

Your DVR lets you record multiple episodes of a program according to your preferences.

  • Select the episode type to record, such as first-run only or all episodes
  • Specify how many recordings to save
  • Specify how long to save the recording - until you erase it or until space is needed
  • To access advanced series setup features like add minutes to the start and end times and specify which channels to record, select the “Recording Options Icon” to review all options.
  • You can access recoding options from the "Record" button on any Program Info Screen.

Video Library

  • From the Main Menu or Quick Menu, select "DVR", then select "My Recordings"
  • Use the arrow buttons to find the program you want to watch
  • Press "OK/Select" or "Info" to select the program
  • From the Program Information Screen, select the "Play" icon to play or to resume play from where you left off.  To play the program from the beginning, select the "Rewind" incon.

  • From a Recorded Program Information screen, select the “X” Icon to delete the recording
  • Select the “!” Icon to modify the Delete Priority, which gives you additional options such as deleting the recording when space is needed

How to Control Live TV

Use your Remote Control to…

  • "Pause" to pause live TV for up to 90 minutes*
  • "Play" to start watching again
  • "Fast-Forward" or "Rewind" up to four times to rewind or fast-forward at different speeds
  • "Live" to jump back to live TV
  • "Instant Replay" to see an instant replay
  • "Swap" to switch between 2 programs and preserve the automatic Live TV recording for each
  • If you change channels without using swap, you will lose the automatic Live TV recording for the previously watched channel
  • Press "Record" to start recording the current program and save it to the Personal Video Library

 

The DVR will automatically record up to one hour of live TV, beginning from the point when you tune to a channel. This feature allows you to pause and rewind live TV.

 

*Pause capacity depends on video format; less than 15 minutes for High Definition programming.
