Dig Safely
Safety Tip: Call Before You Dig
Before you dig into any outdoor home project, remember the Ohio Utilities Protection Service (OUPS), a public service to help keep you safe.
Ohio Utilities Protection Service lets Time Warner Cable and other participating utilities know about planned digging or backhoeing, giving us time to mark our underground cables. This free service helps you prevent personal injury, property damage and service interruptions caused by accidentally digging into cable, telephone, electric, gas, and water and sewer facilities.
By law, everyone MUST contact the Ohio Utilities Protection Service, 1-800-362-2764, at least 48 hours but no more than 10 working days (excluding weekends and legal holidays) before beginning ANY digging project.
For more information, visit www.oups.org.
