Take A Veteran To School Day From the Greatest Generation to the Latest Generation, Let’s Support Our Vets! What is it? For the second year, Time Warner Cable is proud to bring to Nebraska the Take a Vet to School Day project developed by the History channel®. Together, we want to link veterans of all ages with young people in our schools and communities from October 27 through November 28, 2008 (Veterans Day is on November 11). If your school wants to participate in this project, we will provide you with the name(s) of veteran(s) for your school and/or teacher to call and coordinate their plans. Please, let us know by October 10, 2008, so we can make sure we have enough speakers. How can you get involved? If you are: A student or a parent: Talk to your school teacher about this project. A teacher: Click on the links to your right and download resource materials AND fill out the form below.  A veteran: Fill out the form below.
