Occasionally, you may run into connection issues with your modem. As a result, it may be necessary to reboot or reset your modem in order to re-establish a proper connection.  

Just follow our 4 easy steps listed below. You may need to restart your computer as well and that may be all that is necessary to get you back on the Internet fast. It may solve your problem without having to pick up the phone!

Modem Reset Steps:

  1. Unplug the modem.
  2. Remove the battery from the bottom of the modem.
  3. Put the battery back in.
  4. Plug in the modem.

These 4 steps apply to customers who have Scientific Atlanta or Arris Modems.

Reset Instructions For Toshiba Modems:  Unplug your modem from the electrical outlet for about one minute and then plug it back in.

Reset Instructions For Other Modems:  All you need to do is press the "Reset" button on the back of your modem.
