"Our Part of Town" Finals
The “Our Part of Town” talent shows are back and available for viewing on San Antonio On Demand Channel 988! This popular show is San Antonio’s version of “American Idol” and Time Warner Cable has teamed up with the City of San Antonio’s Parks and Recreation Department once again to host and produce these shows, which include the qualifying talent shows and the finals. District finals are taking place and acts range from country western vocalists, hip-hop dance groups, bands, comedians and poetry recitations. "Cat Paws" is a children's music and movement television program in its sixth year of production. The H-E-B High School All-Star Football Game is a charity event featuring outstanding San Antonio high school football seniors from the previous fall season. Passion Play
The annual event attracts thousands of people to Milam Park to witness the reenactment of the trial and condemnation of Jesus Christ by Pontius Pilot played by local actors, including Felicitos Flores III portraying Christ. The procession, from Houston Street to the city’s downtown Main Plaza, follows the events of The Passion and features Christ crowned with thorns walking to Calvary, while being heckled by local townspeople and Roman Guards. The event ends at the foot of San Fernando Cathedral where the Crucifixion and the last seven words of Christ take place.
The telecast will rebroadcast on April 15 exclusively on Time Warner Cable’s San Antonio on Demand Channel 988 allowing customers with a digital set top box the opportunity to watch full coverage at their convenience for FREE!
