2009 Start! Heart Walk

 

Start! Heart Walk is the AHA mission in action and it’s signature fund-raising event. The Start! Heart Walk promotes physical activity and heart-healthy living in a fun, family friendly environment.

 

This year over 750,000 walkers will participate in more than 425 events, raising funds to save lives from our country’s No. 1 and No. 3 killers - heart
disease and stroke.

 

WHAT: A 3.1 mile non-competitive walk along the manicured lawns of Brooks City Base.


WHEN: Saturday, November 7th
7:30 AM Event Opens
8:30 AM Opening Ceremonies
9:00 AM Walk Start!
10:30 AM Closing Ceremonies

The City of San Antonio Downtown Operations invites everyone to come out on Thursday evenings, from June to October, for Movies By Moonlight featuring pre-show entertainment & family movies.  Sponsored in part by Time Warner Cable.


Bring your blankets or lawn chairs. Picnic bags are welcome. Concessions will be available for purchase.
