  Service Protection Plan

Time Warner Cable is proud to provide the best signal possible for all of our residential customers. We're happy to perform repair service at no charge for issues related to our equipment or to the Time Warner Cable wiring located outside of the customer's home.

With the Service Protection Plan, Time Warner Cable residential customers are further protected with the service and maintenance of visible cable and telephone wiring inside their home for a small monthly fee of $2.95*.

Customers who choose to subscribe to the Service Protection Plan are exempt from labor fees (minimum of $36.00 per visit) that will be assessed if an in-home service appointment is required.
In addition to our standard Service Policies which includes the repair and/or replacement of our equipment¹ as well as the initial setup of service to your television, computer and/or phone², the Service Protection Plan* includes:

Maintenance of all coaxial cable used for transmission of TWC services and two-pair copper telephone wiring running from the point of entry outside of the home to the back of the customer's Time Warner Cable supplied device.

Telephone wiring is also covered in cases where the customer subscribes to TWC Digital Phone service.

The following is not supported by the Service Protection Plan Subscriber Agreement or Service Policies of Time Warner Cable:

The installation, operation, maintenance, or repairs of subscriber-owned equipment such as: TiVo, ReplayTV or other personal video recorders, home audio and speakers (including home theater systems), gaming consoles, computers (including hardware, software and peripherals such as printers, scanners, digital cameras, routers etc.), cordless or corded phones, fax machines, caller ID units, non-visible structured wiring and programmable remotes.

Home wiring (cable and phone) which involves repair/alterations to the building/room, cathedral ceilings, lack of attic space, wiring changes restricted by a Home Owners Association, an attached dwelling owner or the dwelling is rented and requires permission of the landlord.

Repair or replacement of cable damaged by natural disasters normally covered by home owner's insurance (e.g., flood, wind, earthquake, riot, acts of war, gross negligence, willful damage and/or vandalism, total destruction by fire).

Installation of Digital Phone if the Time Warner Cable field service technician determines that the home alarm system is miswired and/or doesn't work.

Time Warner Cable equipment includes analog/digital converters (including DVR, HD and HD DVR), Road Runner High Speed Online cable modem, Road Runner Wireless router and Digital Phone modem.

Time Warner Cable is responsible for the inital setup of service to your television with one analog/digital converter (including DVR, HD and HD DVR), Road Runner High Speed Online cable modem with one computer, Road Runner Wireless home network, and/or Digital Phone modem with all phones in the house that are determined to be in working order prior to the installation.
