Time Warner Cable Connects with the Boys and Girls Clubs

As a company, Time Warner Cable partners with the Boys and Girls Clubs in South Carolina to support safe, supervised and affordable activities for children in the communities we serve. The Boys and Girls Clubs provide educational and enrichment programs in an after-school and community based environment for children ages six to eighteen. Clubs provide homework help, resources for computer based learning, art and drama experiences, sports and fitness programs and career exploration, to name a few.

In an effort to help our local Boys and Girls Clubs raise funds to support club activities each year, Time Warner Cable produces local public service announcements and promotional videos showcasing the mission, vision and values of the organization. The public service announcements are aired on Time Warner Cable throughout the year.

Year after year, Time Warner Cable provides financial and in-kind donations to support the mission of the Boys and Girls Clubs. The organization strives to create a positive place for kids. Their consistent effort to provide proven programs for youth in South Carolina makes it a wise investment.

Palmetto People – Connecting South Carolina

Every week Time Warner Cable customers get a first-hand look at the people, places and things that make South Carolina a great place to live, work and play. Palmetto People connects communities across South Carolina through a positive, living-room style format.

Palmetto People is produced by Time Warner Cable. Viewing times and channel:
• Columbia, Sumter, Orangeburg: Channel 7 at 7:00 am, 11:30 am, 6:00 pm and 10:30 pm
• Florence, Darlington area: Channel 4 at 2pm, 4pm, 6pm & 9pm
• Grand Strand: 10:30 am and 7:00 pm weekdays, channel 5 on the north end & channel 17 on the south end of the system
• Summerville: 10:30 am and 7:00 pm weekdays on Channel 9
• Hilton Head: 10:00 am, 5:30 pm, 11:30 pm on channel 5
• Hartsville: Channel 6 at 2pm, 4pm, 6pm & 9pm
• Mullins & Dillon, Channel 8 at 2pm, 4pm, 6pm & 9pm

Time Warner Cable Encourages a Hike On
The Palmetto Trail

Time Warner Cable is partnering with the Palmetto Conservation Foundation to assist the Foundation in raising the awareness of the Palmetto Trail. Time Warner Cable developed an inspiring public service announcement which began airing in 2007 in the Time Warner Cable service areas. Over 7,750 public service announcements (PSA) have been shown with an in-kind value of $775,000. TWC will continue the promotion through September of 2008.

The PSA has proven to be invaluable to Palmetto Conservation Foundation, bringing many inquiries and new memberships to the organization.

The introduction of the public service announcement provided the impetus to "kick off" a drive to build a much needed $1,000,000 endowment fund for the Palmetto Trail so that the trail might remain the premier recreational amenity in South Carolina.
