Governor
Bob Riley is a native of Ashland, Alabama, a small town in which six generations of his family have been raised. He's a graduate of the University of Alabama. He built a successful business from the ground up, starting by selling eggs door-to-door with his brother. He became one of the largest poultry producers in the Southeast, also owning a trucking company, car dealership, real estate company, grocery store and pharmacy. He runs more than 400 head of cattle on his ranch in Ashland.
Gov. Riley first ran for office in 1996 at the age of 52, when he was elected to Congress as an unknown. He was reelected in 1998 with more than 90 percent of the vote. He was inaugurated as Governor in January of 2003.
Gov. Riley is married to his high school sweetheart, the former Patsy Adams. They have three children. A fourth, Jenice, died of cancer in 2001. The Rileys also have three grandchildren. Learn more about the First Lady.

Rep. Robert B. Aderholt (R-Haleyville)
Rep. Aderholt is an Alabama native, educated in Alabama's public schools and receiving an undergraduate degree from Birmingham Southern College. He continued his education and received his JD degree from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University. He served as legal assistant to the governor in 1995 and 1996 before serving as a municipal judge in Haleyville.

Rep. Terry Everett
Rep. Terry Everett is a Dothan native. After serving in the Air Force, he began a career in the newspaper business, eventually owning a chain of newspapers in the Southeast. He also has owned an operated other businesses. He was elected for the first time in 1992, beating George Wallace, Jr. The Republican congressman now lives in Enterprise with his wife, Barbara.

Sen. Jeff Sessions
After serving in the Alabama U.S. Attorney's office and as Alabama's U.S. Attorney, Alabama native. Jeff Session was elected Alabama's Attorney General, serving from 1995-97. He was elected to the Senate and began his first term in 1997. He is a graduate of Huntingdon College and the University of Alabama School of Law. The former Eagle Scout has been a lay leader and Sunday school teacher at Ashland Place Methodist Church. He and his wife, Mary Blackshears Sessions are the parents of three children.
