Modem lights - Motorola SBV5220

Figure 1: Correct lighting configuration.
- Power light: Modem is plugged into operating AC outlet.
- DS and US lights: Signal levels are OK.
- Online light: Ethernet wire is properly inserted in jack in the back.
- Link light: If you are also using this modem for the internet, then a blinking light indicates a connection and data transfer. If the light is off, then there is no internet connection.
- Tel 1 light: Telephone wire is properly inserted in jack in the back and phone is on the hook.
- Battery light: Battery is charged. Light will be off unless battery is charging, in which case the light would be solid orange.

- Online light: Internet service is not available.
- Check to see if the ethernet wire is properly inserted in jack in the back.
- DS and US lights: They're off, which indicates the modem may be in 'standby' mode.
- Resolution:
- Press and hold for three seconds the 'Standby' button, which is located on top of the modem.
- Lights should appear as in Figure 1.
- If this does not resolve the problem, then call us on your home phone by dialing 611 for direct home phone technical support. The phone service works in 'Standby' mode, but your internet service will not work.
