NFL
Cable TV schedules Super Bowl XLII from Phoenix, AZ.
NFL Network Because of a contract dispute, Time Warner Cable does not carry the NFL Network, which is televising eight games -- or 3% of all 2007 NFL regular season games -- this season. Under a ruling passed by the NFL when ESPN began carrying games on cable in the 1980s, an over-the-air station in the market of either of the competing teams also airs the contest. However, Albany is not considered an NFL market. The National Football League reached an agreement Dec. 26 with broadcast networks NBC and CBS to simulcast the Dec. 29 game between the New England Patriots and the New York Giants. This means that all fans can watch the Patriots' quest to be the first team in NFL history to finish the regular season with a 16-0 record and the first undefeated team since the 1972 Miami Dolphins. Game time is 8:15 p.m. with pregame starting at 8 p.m. It's the first time since Super Bowl I that the same NFL game will be telecast by more than one network. > Read more about this agreement on sportsillustrated.com Make the game really come to life - with HD service.
