Start Over Channels FAQ's

With Start Over™, the entertainment is ready when you are! So look for the Start Over bar or launch the Enhanced TV menu to be sure a show is available to restart.  

Some of the participating Start Over channels are listed below. Check back often for an updated list of new Start Over channels.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Q: Do I need a DVR to access the Start Over feature?
    No, customers do not need a DVR or other in-home recording device to utilize the Start Over feature. Only a Digital Cable converter is needed.
  2. Q: Will I be able to use the Start Over feature for every program on a channel that offers Start Over?
    Start Over is program specific; not every program on each channel will be Start Over enabled. Just look for the Start Over banner, and that’s how you will know if Start Over can be used on that program.
  3. Q: If I have already programmed my DVR to record a show and I come home during it, can I still use the Start Over feature?
    Yes, however if you’re recording a show with your DVR and decide you want to start over, it is recommended that you use the DVR “list” button on your remote control and start the show from the beginning instead of selecting Start Over. That way you can fast forward through commercials. You can’t fast-forward with Start Over.
  4. Q: If I tune away from my Start Over program can I tune back and continue watching?
    Yes, if you return within 5 minutes the Bookmark feature allows you to resume where you left off by pressing “select” on the remote control. A menu appears providing the option to Resume or Start Over. The show will resume when you press “select” again.
  5. Q: Once I’m in the Start Over mode, how can I return to live TV?
    To return to live TV, you can press the “exit” button on your remote control at any time.
