What is DVR?
DVR stands for Digital Video Recording. It gives you complete control over your TV. Your favorite shows are always here, waiting for you, at the touch of a button on your remote control.
 
Basic Buttons
 
  1. Press the POWER button to turn the TV on and off.

  2. Press the VOL UP and DOWN button to control the volume.

  3. Press the CH UP and DOWN button to channel surf.

  4. Press the NUMBER buttons to select any channel by number.

  5. Press the MUTE button to turn off the sound.

  6. Press the LAST button to bring up the last channel you watched.

Advanced Buttons
Buttons in the top row let you select which device to control. Press the TV button to control your TV, or press the CBL button to control your cable box.
IMPORTANT: You must press CBL to access your DVR features.

  1. Press the GUIDE button to display the program guide. You can see what's on TV on any channel, over the next seven days.

  2. Press the UP/DOWN arrow buttons to scroll through channel listings.

  3. Press the LEFT/RIGHT arrow buttons to scroll through time slots.

  4. Press the INFO button to get more detailed program information on any show.

  5. Press the SELECT button to select whatever program or option you've highlighted. Once you find a show you like, press the SELECT button to tune to it instantly. If you select a future show, you will be given the option to record it on your DVR.

  6. Press the EXIT button to clear the on-screen graphics and return to the show you were watching.

Special Buttons
 
  1. Press the LIST button to bring up a list of all the shows you've recorded, and recordings in progress.

  2. To view future recordings you've scheduled, press the B button.

  3. Press the INSTANT REPLAY button to rewind 10 seconds back so you can replay what you were just watching.

  4. When you've paused or rewound the program, press the LIVE button to take you to real time on the channel you're watching.

  5. Press the PLAY button to play your show at normal speed. If you press it twice very quickly, you'll see your show in slow motion.

  6. The REWIND/FAST-FORWARD buttons work the same as on your VCR, but with some extra features. When you press them twice, you go faster. When you press them three times, you move at the fastest speed, letting you skip around your show very quickly.

  7. Press the RECORD button rec72 to select a program to record. You can do this in two different ways - either while you're watching a program, or from the Program Guide.

  8. Press the PAUSE button to freeze the program you're watching.

  9. Press the STOP button to stop the program your watching.

    Depending on when you press it, you get certain special options:
    • If you press it while you're recording a program, you have the option of stopping your recording.
    • If you press it while watching a previously recorded program, you get the additional options to erase the recording, save the recording, or resume watching.
 
Picture in Picture
With Picture in Picture, or PIP, you can watch two shows at once.   
 
  1. Press the ON/OFF button to turn picture in picture on or off, and change the size.

  2. Press the SWAP button to swap the video in the main screen and the picture in picture window.

  3. Press the MOVE button to move the picture in picture window to another location on the screen.

  4. Press the CH + AND - button to surf through channels inside the picture in picture window.
