Browse by Title: Find a Specific Show by Title | Choose a Letter | Choose a Program

In this tutorial we will show you some Power Tips for finding programs quickly. If you want to brush up on your basic channel browsing skills, click here to review the Channel Browsing tutorial.

We will be covering:

• Browse by Time
• Browse by Theme
• Browse by Title

We will be doing all of these from the Program Guide, so first press the GUIDE button.

Whenever you find the program you want, press the SELECT button to tune to it immediately OR if you want to go back to your original program, press the EXIT button to clear the screen.

Browse by Time

Find Programs by Time of Day

When the GUIDE first comes up, you will automatically be browsing by TIME. If you ever want to return to this option while you're in the guide, press the A button.

Scrolling Through Channels

1. Basic: Press the UP or DOWN arrow buttons to browse channels one at a time.
   
   
2. Faster: To scroll faster, press the PAGE +/- button to jump one page at a time.
   
   
3. Fastest: Jump by blocks of 100 channels at a time by pressing the A button.

Scrolling Through Time Slots

1. Basic: Press the LEFT or RIGHT arrow buttons to browse by time slot.
   
   
2. Faster: Hold down the RIGHT arrow button. You will start by moving at normal speed. After a few moments, the channel grid will darken, and you will start moving ahead in Power Speed mode. If you go ahead several days, it can take a few moments to load the program information, so you may see the words No Data displayed temporarily.
   
   
3. To jump back to today's listings, press the GUIDE button twice.

Browse by Theme

Find Programs by Theme (Sports, Comedy, Drama, etc.)

1. Press the B button to browse by theme.
   
   
2. Categories are listed on the left side of the screen:

• Main categories, like SPORTS, MOVIES and NEWS are listed in capital letters.
• Subcategories, like basketball, baseball and football, are listed under each Category.

Choose a Theme

1. Basic: Press the UP or DOWN arrow buttons to scroll through themes one at a time.
   
   
2. Faster: Press the PAGE +/- button to jump a page at a time.
   
   
3. Fastest: Press the B button to jump a category at a time button.
   
   
4. Once you find a theme you want, press the SELECT button.
   
   
5. All available programs are now listed on the right side of the screen. The programs currently playing are listed first, with a small dot next to each of them.
   
   
6. To choose a different theme, press the LEFT arrow button.

Choose a Program

1. Basic: Press the UP or DOWN arrow buttons to scroll one at a time.
   
   
   
2. Faster: Press the PAGE +/- button to jump one page at a time.

Tip:

You can browse by THEME to find shows with closed captioning (CC) or a second language audio track like Spanish (SAP). Just use the Page +/- button to jump to these category listings.

Browse by Title

Find a Specific Show by Title

Press the C button to browse by title.

Choose a Letter

1. Press the UP or DOWN arrow buttons to find the first letter of the show you want.
   
   
2. Press the SELECT button. An alphabetical list of all the shows that begin with your letter now appear on the right side of the screen. Currently playing shows are marked by a small dot.
   
   
3. To search another letter in the alphabet, press the LEFT arrow button.

Choose a Program

1. Basic: Use the UP and DOWN arrow buttons to scroll through shows one at a time.
   
   
2. Faster: Press the Page +/ - button to jump a page at a time.
