The VCR Buttons:
PAUSE, REWIND, FAST-FORWARD, STOP & RECORD

Your digital cable remote is a Universal remote that can control equipment like your VCR without the hassle of separate remotes.

vodcontrols72[1]

  1. Your Time Warner Cable installer may have already programmed your remote for your VCR. If this is not set up, view the Programming Your Remote tutorial for more information.

  2. Once this is set up, you can use your remote to pause, rewind, fast-forward, stop or record programs just like you're used to.

VCR/VOD Switch:

The PAUSE, REWIND, FAST-FORWARD and STOP buttons may also be used with iControl On Demand programs.

You must set your remote properly to either VCR or VOD (Video On Demand) depending on which one you want to use.

vcrvod72[1]

  • For VCR functionality, set the VCR/VOD switch to VCR.
  • For VOD Functionality, set the VCR/VOD switch to VOD.

Note: Some remotes have a switch, others a button. If your remote has neither, don't worry, you don't have to do anything. It will work automatically.
