Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ  >> Digital Phone Service  >> Installation, Equipment and Service
Q:Do I have to keep the Digital Phone modem in a specific location?
A:

Yes. If you are a current Road Runner High Speed Online customer then the installation will involve switching out your existing high-speed cable modem for a new Digital Phone/High Speed Data Service modem. The modem should remain with your computer (and within 3 feet of a phone jack) so that you can use it for high-speed Internet access and your Digital Phone home phone service. If you are not a current high-speed Internet user, the modem will simply need to be placed within 3 feet of a phone jack.
