Q:Does Road Runner require a phone line? Will it save me money?
A:A phone line is not required. As a Road Runner customer, you will be provided with a high-speed cable modem that links your computer(s) to the fiber-optic/coaxial cable network and our server complex. These servers provide a gateway for you to connect to the Internet at very high speeds. Because phone lines are not used at all, the savings may be as much as $15 – $25 per month for a customer that dials up the Internet an average of three times a day using a second phone line.
