Q:Can other Road Runner users see the data I send and receive? What about security on the system?
A:Road Runner uses the latest security technology available. Our cable modem infrastructure provides some encryption, which protects data sent to or from a cable modem. Additionally, our modems deliver only data targeted at the IP addresses of the computers connected to them. While we can't control whether data you send is intercepted after it enters the public Internet, reputable websites usually take steps to protect sensitive information – such as credit card numbers – by using secure transactions that encrypt all data sent and received for that transaction. This encryption provides additional security for cable modems and other forms of Internet access.
