At Time Warner Cable, we offer a range of resources to help your family make safe and smart
choices online.
To help you get the best out of the Internet, we have partnered with two outstanding organizations that will provide the information you need to manage your family’s entertainment and communications.
Time Warner Cable is a founding partner and supporter of Common Sense Media (CSM), the nation’s leading organization dedicated to giving families the trustworthy information they need to thrive in a world of entertainment and technology. This non-partisan non-profit helps millions of parents, educators, and young people make great decisions about what they see and do on-screen and online.
From advice about safe social networking to cyberbullying to up-to-the-minute age-appropriate movie reviews, Common Sense Media’s Videos On Demand and website give you everything you need to know to be sure your kids make safe, responsible choices. For Spanish-speaking parents, their videos and tips are also available en español.
Not only does Time Warner Cable distribute Common Sense Media's On Demand content, we also collaborate with schools and community organizations to promote digital literacy and digital citizenship in the classroom and in the community.
In addition to funding and On Demand content, Time Warner Cable and Common Sense Media collaborate with schools to provide information on Internet safety and TWC's products and services, which provide simple and easy ways for parents to manage and monitor their children's choices online.
Our company also supports PointSmartClickSafe, a nationwide initiative from Cable in the Classroom and the cable industry that serves as a resource for parents on Internet safety, digital ethics and media literacy to parents.
Time Warner Cable serves on the PointSmartClickSafe task force, a panel of technology companies, child advocacy and parents' groups, educators, health researchers and policymakers. The purpose of this task force is to compile best practices and online safety recommendations for adoption by the Internet industry.
