Peter Stern is Time Warner Cable’s Executive Vice President & Chief Product, People and Strategy Officer. He oversees all of the company’s residential product lines, including video, high-speed data, phone, wireless and home security. Mr. Stern is also responsible for the company’s HR and strategy functions, including the identification and development of new businesses.
Before taking on his current role, Mr. Stern served as EVP/Chief Strategy, People & Corporate Development Officer, EVP/Chief Strategy Officer, EVP/Product Management and SVP/Strategic Planning. Before joining Time Warner Cable in 2004, he was VP of Strategic Initiatives at Time Warner Inc. He began his career at McKinsey & Company, where he was an Associate Principal and helped lead the Technology and Media practices.
Mr. Stern received a J.D. from Yale Law School, where he was an editor of the Yale Law Journal and author of the book Connecticut Prisoners’ Rights, and became a member of both the NY and CT bars. He has a B.A. Magna Cum Laude from Harvard University in a double concentration of Music and English.
Mr. Stern serves on the Board, Executive Committee, and Development Committee of The Cable Center, the non-profit educational arm of the cable industry, and on the Board of Advisors of the Hudson Union Society. He was awarded the Cable industry’s Vanguard Award for Young Leadership in 2010 and is routinely featured among the most influential executives in cable by CableFAX: The Magazine.
