Peter Stern is Time Warner Cable’s Executive Vice President & Chief Strategy, People & Corporate Development Officer, a role he has held since 2012. He is responsible for the company’s strategy and HR functions, and oversees the company’s high-speed data, phone, wireless, and home security product lines. He also identifies and develops new businesses.
Before taking on his current role, Mr. Stern served as EVP/Chief Strategy Officer, EVP/Product Management and SVP/Strategic Planning. Before joining Time Warner Cable in 2004, he was VP of Strategic Initiatives at Time Warner Inc. He began his career at McKinsey & Company, where he was an Associate Principal and helped lead the Technology and Media practices.
Mr. Stern received a J.D. from Yale Law School, where he was an editor of the Yale Law Journal and author of the book Connecticut Prisoners’ Rights, and became a member of both the NY and CT bars. He has a B.A. Magna Cum Laude from Harvard University in a double concentration of Music and English.
Mr. Stern serves on the Board, Executive Committee, and Development Committee of The Cable Center, the non-profit educational arm of the cable industry, and on the Board of Advisors of the Hudson Union Society. He was awarded the Cable industry’s Vanguard Award for Young Leadership in 2010.
