Carol Hevey has served as Executive Vice President of Time Warner Cable’s East Region since fall 2009. In her current role, she has responsibility for cable operations serving six million residential and commercial video, high-speed data, digital phone and wireless customers in the company’s operations in the East. Ms. Hevey was instrumental in creating a regional operating structure for the company to better serve the region’s customers and 17,000 employees.
Ms. Hevey has served in a variety of operations roles for Time Warner Cable during her nearly 30 years in the cable industry, including Executive Vice President of Time Warner Cable’s Carolina Region from 2004-2009. Prior to her appointment to Executive Vice President, she was President of Time Warner Cable’s Milwaukee, Wis.; Portland, Maine; and Boston, Mass., divisions. Throughout her career, she has led organizations to achieve outstanding results through a focus on growth, customer service and employee satisfaction.
In addition to her operating responsibilities, Ms. Hevey helped found and chairs Time Warner Cable’s Diversity Council and Time Warner Cable’s Women’s Leadership Council. These councils serve in advisory capacities to the company’s senior leadership and are engaged in a variety of diversity and inclusion initiatives across the company, including communications, education, advocacy, leadership development and employee networking.
A native of Ohio, Ms. Hevey attended Purdue University and the University of Pittsburgh. She is a member of the Cable and Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM), Women in Cable and Telecommunications (WICT), and the National Association of Minorities in Cable (NAMIC). She serves on the board of directors of Charlotte Center City Partners, Charlotte Chamber of Commerce and Central Piedmont Community College Foundation.
She is the 2011 chairperson of the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women Campaign in Charlotte. Ms. Hevey is also on the board of advisors for the Charlotte Area YWCA and the North Carolina Governor’s Conference for Women. Ms. Hevey has received several company and industry awards, including the Vanguard Award for Cable Operations Management in 2011; one of the Most Powerful Women in Cable by CableFax in 2008; and Multichannel News’ Wonder Woman award in 2005. Ms. Hevey was named to USAir’s “2010 Charlotte USA 20: Celebrating Dynamic Women” honor list and recognized by Queens University of Charlotte as the 2010 Charlotte Business Woman of the Year.
