Gerry Campbell has served as Executive Vice President of Business Services of Time Warner Cable since 2009. In that capacity, Mr. Campbell is responsible for overseeing the company’s growing Business Class operations.
Mr. Campbell started his career with Warner Communications in the Boston suburbs, and then served as Vice President of Operations with the New England Regional office. This was during the cable franchise boom of the mid-70s and the early 80s. Construction to customer activation and service were the areas he was involved in during those years. Mr. Campbell also managed Qube operations in the Chicago suburbs for Warner.
He then moved back to Boston, serving as Vice President of Operations at Cablevision of Boston for five years. The challenges of constructing and operating in one of America’s oldest cities were many. Beyond the traffic problems, there was the need to preserve and work within these historically preserved environments.
From 1990 to 1997, Mr. Campbell worked in the U.K. for Comcast in the deployment of their cable/telephone business The U.K. operations represented the first combined network offering video and phone. Cities being wired were London, Birmingham, Teeside and Cambridge, where 100 percent of the plant was underground. Late in 1997, he was transferred from London, where he was Managing Director for all Comcast operations, to Michigan as Senior Vice President, Midwest Region.
He rejoined the Time Warner family as Senior Vice President of Voice, where he developed the plans and managed the deployment of digital phone in all 31 divisions. In 2005, he was promoted to the newly created position of Executive Vice President, Phone Operations. In 2007, Mr. Campbell became Executive Vice President of Technical Operations for Time Warner Cable nationwide and was also responsible for Customer Care.
Mr. Campbell is a graduate of Boston College.
