Attention Game of Thrones Fans! Time Warner Cable is Teaming Up with HBO to Celebrate the Season Premiere of the Popular Series

New York, NY – Time Warner Cable announced today its partnership with HBO to help customers enjoy the third season premiere of Game of Thrones better. The third season of the epic fantasy drama television series is scheduled to premiere on March 31, 2013 on HBO. The partnership encompasses a national TV spot, a chance to win a life-size replica of the “Iron Throne,” an HBO exclusive offer for Time Warner Cable video subscribers, customer screenings in five cities, and “fast track” entrance to a Game of Thrones Exhibition in New York City.

Also today, fans of Time Warner Cable or Mi Cultura Facebook pages (Facebook.com/TWC and /MiCultura) can kick-off the pre-premiere fun by participating in the Game of Thrones Sweepstakes* for a chance to win a life-size replica of the “Iron Throne” and one year of Time Warner Cable services, among other prizes. In addition, Time Warner Cable Digital TV customers can take advantage of a free HBO exclusive offer window where they can preview HBO and Cinemax from March 29 to March 31.

The celebration continues with special customer screenings of the season three premiere on March 21 and March 27 in five major Time Warner Cable markets: New York and Albany, NY; Los Angeles, CA; Wilmington, NC; and Dallas, TX.

Closing in on the much anticipated season premiere is the unique Game of Thrones Exhibition (#GOTNYC) designed to showcase incredible costumes and props featured in the hit television show. The Game of Thrones Exhibition will be open to Time Warner Cable customers and the general public free of charge from March 28 until April 3 at 3 West 57th Street in New York City. Customers and HBO subscribers who bring their current cable bill will benefit from a “fast track” line for easier access to the exhibition.

The Game of Thrones Exhibition will showcase materials from the show’s production including weaponry, original costume sketches, Iron Throne photo opportunity, Battle of Blackwater Bay interactive experience, and story boards from the first two seasons in addition to a sneak peek of season three. The New York exhibition will be the exclusive U.S. stop of the tour. The exhibition will also visit markets across South America and Europe, capitalizing on the worldwide fervor for Game of Thrones.
