Recommended System Specifications

Computer Hardware

A PC with a 2.4 GHz dual-core processor or faster, at least 1GB of memory, and a DirectX9.0 compliant video (128 MB Memory) and a Multi-Channel 5.1 Capable Sound Card. For HD videos, the faster your computer the better.

Internet Connection

Installing the Microsoft Silverlight

Before you begin, you must install Microsoft Silverlight on your PC or Mac. Please go to following link to install the latest version of the Microsoft Silverlight: http://www.microsoft.com/silverlight/. Please follow the series of installation procedures provided on the website.

If you do not have Microsoft Silverlight installed on your computer, then you will be presented with a dialog box to download the MS Silverlight Plugin when you select an asset to download:

Click the Install Silverlight button to start the Silverlight install process, and follow the instructions provided.

Once you have successfully installed the Silverlight to your computer you are ready to download the Video Store Media Manager. Please note that the media manager automatically initiates the download process when you click a download option for viewing a video. Please see the steps below:

Installing the Video Store Media Player:

  1. Click the Download button next to the video asset.
  2. If this is your first time downloading a video, then the system will automatically initiate a process for installing the Video Store Media Manager to your computer. You will see a dialog box to start the install process. Click the Install button. Note: If you have already installed the Video Store Media Manager, then the video you selected will be added to your computer.
  3. You may be presented with a security warning message to inform you that you are downloading an executable file on your computer. To successfully download and execute the installer, you will need to acknowledge the security warnings and accept the download by clicking the Install button.
  4. After initiating the download, you will be presented with a dialog box indicating download progress.
  5. After the installation process is completed, you will be presented with a dialog page indicating that you have successfully downloaded the video.
  6. The videos that you have downloaded can be accessed from the Video Store Media Manager. You can launch the Video Store Media Manager application by selecting the Start menu from Windows PC and from your Downloads folder on a Mac.
  7. When you open the Video Store Media Manager application you will be able to view all videos that you have downloaded. Click the Play button to playback the video.

Users are permitted to download a given piece of content a maximum of three times across all of their computers and devices.

Please note that users do not need to wait for the download to finish before starting to play the video. The Video Store Media Manager application will play the content, while it continues to download, after the download is approximately 4% complete. Also, once the video is downloaded to the Video Store Media Manager application you do not need to log into Video Store website to view the content you have already downloaded.
