How do I check my MAC address on a Mac with OS X 10.2 to 10.6? :

  1. Launch Finder.
  2. Open the Applications folder, then open the Utilities folder and start Terminal.
  3. In the Terminal window type ifconfig.
  4. Find the ether line under the section that describes your network adapter. Your MAC address is listed as six groups of two hexadecimal digits, separated by by colon (i.e., ether 00:25:00:4e:a8:39).
