What is Partial Analog Reclamation?:

Partial Analog Reclamation (PAR) is the process of moving television channels from the analog spectrum to digital. Analog channels use as much as 14 times more bandwidth than digital channels, meaning that PAR will enable Time Warner Cable to free up bandwidth by making select channels available in a digital format only. This transition creates extra bandwidth in order to give our customers increased Video On Demand content, better picture and sound, more HD channels, enhanced Home Phone services, faster Internet speeds and enhanced TV options.
