Outlook for Windows 7 Email Client Setup | Time Warner Cable

  1. From within Outlook and select Tools > Options > Mail - Setup > Email Accounts.

     

  2. Click New.

     

  3. Click the radio button beside Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP and then click Next.

     

  4. Place a check in the box next to Manuallly configure server settings or additional server types and then click Next.

     

  5. Click the radio button beside Internet E-mail and then click Next.

  6. Complete required information:

     

    Account Type: POP3

    Incoming mail server: mail.twc.com

    Outgoing mail server: mail.twc.com

    User Name: full TWC email address

    Password: TWC email account password

  7. Click More Settings.

     

  8. Select Outgoing Server tab and select the box for My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.

     

  9. Click the Log on using radio button and enter your email address in the User Name field, and password in the Password field.


     

  10. Select the Advanced tab.

     

  11. For Outgoing server (SMTP) type in 587 and then click OK.


     

  12. Click Next and then click Finish.

  13. Please note that Time Warner Cable does not currently support IMAP and that Windows 8 only supports IMAP.  Therefore, email account set up for Outlook for Windows 8 is not available at this time.
