  1. Connect the flat end of the AV cable into the port marked AV MULTI OUT on the back of the PlayStation 2 console.
  2. Connect the other ends of the cable into the AV inputs on the back of the TV or VCR. Ordinarily, you can do this according to color - Yellow to Yellow, White to White, and Red to Red. Be sure to plug them into the jacks marked 'INPUT'. (Note: If there is no red input, simply let that end of the cable dangle.)
  3. Plug the AC power cord for the PlayStation 2 console into an electrical outlet.
  4. Turn on your PlayStation 2 console by pressing the MAIN POWER switch on the console rear and then pressing the Standby/RESET button on the console front. The green power light on the front of the PlayStation 2 console should light up.
  5. (For VCR installation) Set-up your VCR and TV like you were about to watch a video cassette movie. This means that you must tune your television to the channel you ordinarily use to watch movies from your VCR. Usually either channel 3 or channel 4. Press the TV/VCR button on your VCR remote control. It's important that you use the original remote control that came with your VCR.
  6. Adjust the settings for your TV or VCR as appropriate. Refer to the instruction manual for your TV or VCR for details.

  3. Plug the AC power cord for the PlayStation 2 console into an electrical wall outlet.
  4. Turn on your PlayStation 2 console by pressing the MAIN POWER switch on the console rear and then pressing the Standby/RESET button on the console front. The green power light on the front of the PlayStation 2 console should light up.
  5. Adjust the settings for your TV or VCR as appropriate. Refer to the instruction manual for your TV or VCR for details.

This button may be labeled as: Video, AUX or auxiliary, Tuner, Line, TV/Video, or you may need to set your television or VCR to channel 00,90,91,or 92.
