- Guaranteed to operate infrared controlled TV's, VCR's and cable boxes
- The SETUP key is used to program the Intuitive.
The TV, VCR and CBL keys are used to POWER on your TV, VCR and Cable Converter respectively. - The VOL UP/DWN and MUTE keys are used to control the volume if your TV or Cable Converter.
- The CH UP/DWN keys are used to change the channels on your Cable Converter. •The Number keys (0-9) are used for directly accessing the channels on your Cable Converter.
- The PLAY, REW(rewind),FF(fast forward), STOP, PAUSE, RECORD, AND TV/VCR control the functions of your VCR. As a safety feature of your Intuitive remote, you must press the RECORD key twice.
- The LAST key returns you to the previously viewed channel on your Cable Converter.
- The FAV key accesses the favorite channels stored into your Cable Converter. For instructions on setting up a Favorite Channel table, please refer to your Cable Converter Manual.
- The MACRO key can memorize up to 15 keystrokes that can be accessed in sequence by pressing the MACRO key.
- The CABLE INTERACTIVE keys, (at the bottom of the remote) control the functions of your Cable Converter and will vary depending on the manufacturer of your Cable Converter. Please refer to your Cable Converter Manual for key descriptions.
Installing The Batteries - Back to Top
Requires two new AA alkaline batteries.
- On the back of the Intuitive, pull back on the tab and lift off the battery cover.
- Match the and - marks on the batteries to the ones in the battery compartment of the remote.
- Press the battery cover back into place.
- Test the remote control by pressing the TV key. If the batteries are installed correctly, the red light on the remote will blink once.
Setting Up Your Intuitive To Operate Your Devices - Back to Top
- TURN ON the DEVICE (TV, VCR, CABLE, etc) that you want to operate.
- PRESS and HOLD the SETUP key until the Intuitive's red light blinks twice. RELEASE the SETUP key.
- ENTER the first 3-digit Setup Code for your brand of device. If you entered the code, correctly, the Intuitive's red light will blink twice.
- AIM Intuitive at your device and hit the device key. Your device should turn off. If your device does not turn off, repeat steps 1-3 trying each code for you brand of device until you find the code that operates your device.
NOTE: Many VCR's, and CD players did not have the POWER function on their original remote. When you are testing a code for these devices, have the device on and a tape or disc in the device. Test the device by hitting the PLAY button, and see if the device plays the tape or disc.
Searching For Your Code - Back to Top
- TURN ON your device.
- PRESS and HOLD the SETUP key until the Intuitive's red light blinks twice. RELEASE the SETUP key.
- ENTER 9-9-1 Intuitive's red light will blink twice.
- AIM the Intuitive at your device and slowly alternate between pressing the DEVICE and CURSOR UP(^) keys until your device goes off. You may have to press this sequence of buttons up to 100 times to search the entire library of codes.
- Once your device goes off. PRESS and RELEASE the SETUP button to lock in your code. Your Intuitive is ready to operate your device.
Getting Codes From Your Intuitive - Back to Top
If you need to find out which three-digit code is operating your television after your television is set up, use this procedure:
- PRESS and HOLD the SETUP key until the Intuitive's red light blinks twice, then RELEASE the SETUP key.
- PRESS 9-9-0. Intuitive's red light will blink twice.
- For the first digit if your three digit code, PRESS 1, wait and COUNT the number of times the Intuitive's red light blinks. If the light DOES NOT blink when you press 1, the digit is zero.
- For the second digit if your three digit code, PRESS 2, wait and COUNT the number of times the Intuitive's red light blinks. If the light DOES NOT blink when you press 2, the digit is zero.
- For the third digit if your three digit code, PRESS 3, wait and COUNT the number of times the Intuitive's red light blinks. If the light DOES NOT blink when you press 3, the digit is zero.
- Now you have the 3-digit code for your television.
Volume Lock - Back to Top
If your television is not remote controllable or, if you have a TV/VCR combination, you can access the volume of your cable converter. To change the volume setting on the Intuitive, use the following:
- PRESS and HOLD the SETUP key until Intuitive's red light blinks twice, then RELEASE the SETUP key.
- PRESS 9-9-3, Intuitive's red light will blink twice.
- PRESS and RELEASE the CBL key. The Intuitive's red light will blink twice.
- Now whenever you press VOL UP/DWN on Intuitive, your volume will be controlled by your Cable Converter.
Returning The Volume To The TV - Back to Top
- PRESS and HOLD the SETUP key until Intuitive's red light blinks twice, then RELEASE the SETUP key.
- ENTER 9-9-3, Intuitive's red light will blink twice.
- PRESS and RELEASE the TV key. Intuitive's red light will blink twice.
- Now, whenever you PRESS VOL UP/DWN on Intuitive, your volume will be controlled by your television.
Setting Up The MACRO Key - Back to Top
The Intuitive Remote Control has one MACRO key that allows the user to play back a series of key strokes (key sequence) at any time with the press of one key.
For example: to set up a sequence that will turn on your TV, VCR, or Cable Converter:
- PRESS and HOLD the SETUP key until the remote's red light blinks once and then quickly twice. Release SETUP.
- ENTER 9-9-5 (two blinks)
- PRESS and RELEASE the MACRO key.
- PRESS the CBL key, the TV key, then the VCR key.
- PRESS and HOLD the SETUP key, until the red light blinks twice.
Now, whenever you press the MACRO key, the INTUITIVE remote will turn your CABLE, TV, AND VCR on. If your equipment is already on, then pressing the MACRO key will turn your equipment off.
To program the MACRO key with your three favorite channels
- PRESS and HOLD the SETUP key until the remote blinks twice. Release SETUP.
- ENTER 9-9-5 (the remote blinks twice).
- PRESS and RELEASE the MACRO key.
- Now, using the DIGIT keys (0-9)ENTER the channel number for one of the favorite channels you wish to program.
- If you are entering a singe digit channel number, you may have to enter a "0" first. If your cable converter requires you to PRESS an ENTER key after entering a channel number, then include the ENTER keystroke in this sequence.
- PRESS and HOLD the SETUP key until the remote blinks twice. Release SETUP.
The Macro key is now programmed to your first favorite channel. Remember that you can program up to three channels on the MACRO key. To program additional channels to the MACRO key, repeat steps 1-5.
Clearing the MACRO Key
- To clear the MACRO key of any sequences, programmed in the memory of the Intuitive remote: PRESS and HOLD the SETUP key until the Intuitive remote's red light blinks twice- RELEASE SETUP.
- ENTER 9-9-5 (two blinks)
- PRESS and RELEASE the MACRO key.
- PRESS and HOLD the SETUP key until the light on the remote blinks twice. RELEASE.

Q: Red light not blinking when you press a key?
A: Replace the batteries with 4 new "AAA" batteries.
Q: The Intuitive does not operate your television?
A: Try all of the codes listed for your brand of television on the Setup Code page. Make sure the television you are trying to operate can be worked with an infrared remote control.
Q: The red light blinks when you press a key but you receive no response from Cable Converter or television.
A: Make sure you are aiming your Intuitive at your television or Cable Converter and that you are within 15 feet before using your remote.
