VCR Hookup D (RF Switch)
VCR Hookup D (RF Switch)
Get Adobe Acrobat

Advantages
Allows you to record any Standard, Digital, Premium, iCONTROL or Pay-Per-View channel while watching any Standard channel.

Disadvantages
Requires a RF switch (this is an additional plug-in device available for $10)

To Connect:
A.
RF switch connects to “CABLE IN” on the set-top terminal.
B.
Connect cable from the wall to “IN” (1) on the RF switch.
C.
Connect “RF OUT” (2) on the RF switch to “VHF/CATV” (7) on the TV.
D.
Connect RCA jacks (4) on the set-top terminal audio and video output to audio and video input (5) on the VCR.
E.
Connect “CONV IN” (3) on the RF switch to “OUT” or OUTPUT” (6) on the VCR.
F.
Plug TV power cord into the outlet on the back of the set-top terminal.
G.
Plug VCR power cord into wall electrical outlet.
H.
Plug set-top terminal power cord into electrical outlet.

We recommend utilizing surge protection for all electronic components. Plugging terminal into surge protector will now protect outlet on rear of terminal.

Since the cable remote offers a convenient switch button, the RF bypass is a convenient device to make recording easier. However, a splitter and A/B switch will also work for Hookup D. For more information on this method, please click here.
