Company Information

During its relatively short history, the cable industry has undergone many changes and improvements. And, we’re proud to say that Time Warner Cable has been the prime mover of many of the industry’s significant advancements.

Beginning with HBO – nation’s first satellite delivered cable channel – to the creation of CNN, TBS, MTV and Nickelodeon, Time Warner has been a pioneer in the development and creation of quality alternative programming for our customers.

In the technical arena, too, Time Warner Cable has lead the way for many of the cable services like Pay-Per-View and High Speed Internet access that we currently use everyday. In fact, we are the only cable company to ever receive an Emmy Award for technology for our research and development of Video On Demand (VOD). VOD is a state of the art cable service that gives customers the power to receive the latest video titles instantly simply by pushing a button on their remote control. Even better, Time Warner Cable Nebraska launched its own unique channel called Nebraska on Demand (channel 101), which offers different categories of programming especially about Nebraska, including Arts & Entertainment, Education, Sports, Government, My TWC, and Shop Nebraska. You can watch local high school football games, the Big 12 Media Days, and much more.
