Setting Up Voicemail

 
From any phone, dial the voicemail access number, or *98 from home.
 
Beginning with your area code, enter your phone number, if prompted.
 
Enter the last four digits of your phone number (this is your temporary PIN).
 
The voicemail system will prompt you to select a permanent four-digit PIN and to press the pound (#) key. You will be prompted to enter it again.
 
The voicemail system will prompt you to state your name and press the pound (#) key.
 
When completed you may:
 
Press the ‘1’ key to use the recording of your name.
Press the ‘2’ key to listen to the recording of your name.
Press the ‘3’ key to record your name again.
 
The voicemail system will ask you to record a greeting followed by the pound (#) key.
 
To use the recording of your standard greeting, press the ‘1’ key.
To listen to the recording of your standard greeting, press the ‘2’ key.
To record your standard greeting again, press the ‘3’ key.
 
Once your voicemail account set-up is complete, you will have the opportunity to listen to the main menu, or, if you are finished, simply hang up to exit.
 

Access Voicemail

Visit the Voicemail learn page for your Voicemail Access Number. It is also included in your Digital Home Phone Welcome Kit.
 

Retrieving Voicemail

Using your home phone:

Lift the handset of your phone.
1. A stutter dial tone means you have a message(s).
2. Dial your 10-digit (area code and number) home phone number and wait for your Voicemail to answer.
3. The Voicemail system will tell you how many new messages you have.
4. Press the ‘1’ key to listen to your messages.
 
Away from home using any other phone (using your home phone number):

Lift the handset of any touch-tone phone.
1. Dial your 10-digit home phone number.
2. Wait for your call to go into the Voicemail system; you will hear your Voicemail greeting.
3. Press the (*) key.
4. Enter your PIN followed by the (#) key.
5. The Voicemail system will tell you how many new messages you have.
6. Press the ‘1’ key to listen to your messages.
 
Away from home using any other phone (using your Voicemail access number):

Lift the handset of any touch-tone phone.
1. Dial the Voicemail access number included in your Digital Home Phone Welcome Kit.
2. Enter your 10-digit home telephone number and press the (#) key.
3. Enter your PIN followed by the (#) key.
4. The Voicemail system will tell you how many new messages you have.
5. Press the ‘1’ key to listen to your messages 

PIN Information

• Default PIN: Last 4 digits of your home phone number.
• PIN Skip: Allows you to access voicemail without entering your PIN. (Automatically enabled when dialing from home). Please note this significantly decreases the privacy protection and security of your voicemail.
• Disable PIN Skip: Dial 4-3-2-2
• Reset PIN: Call 6-1-1
• PIN selection: Any 4 numeric digits. (#) and (*) are not allowed.
   

Voicemail Facts

• Maximum storage: 40 minutes
• Maximum message length: 3 minutes
• Maximum greeting length: 3 minutes
• Number of days until messages are deleted: Messages are saved indefinitely
• At 90% storage capacity, you will hear an alert message
