Vice President of Marketing & Communications
Patrick Burke is Vice President of Marketing and Communications for the Northeast Ohio Division of Time Warner Cable. He is responsible for the overall marketing message and general positioning of the company to more than 420,000 customers throughout Northeast Ohio and Western Pennsylvania. Burke oversees the programming strategy, designed to maximize the success of all product lines – video, voice and data services.
Burke has been in the cable industry for over 18 years. Joining Time Warner Cable in 1988, he was promoted through the ranks. From data entry to direct sales to marketing, Burke became the Director of Marketing for a mid-size division in Florida by 1998. Within two years, he assumed the position of Vice President of Marketing and Programming for the Tampa Bay area, managing marketing strategies for over one million subscribers. In 2004, Burke was awarded the “Most Improved Division Award” for increasing total customers by 6,400 in 18 months under his leadership as Vice President of Marketing and Sales for Time Warner Cable’s Minneapolis Division. Burke assumed his current position as Vice President of Marketing and Communication in 2006 for Time Warner Cable Northeast Ohio, one of the largest cable divisions in the country.
Originally from Tampa, Florida, Burke graduated from Eckerd College in Saint Petersburg, Florida with a B.A. Degree in Sociology. He was among the top 20 students to receive the Presidential Scholar. Burke was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1995 after receiving his Juris Doctorate Law Degree from Stetson University College of Law, specializing in “Intellectual Property Law.”
Burke’s professional awards includes: the Gold ADDY Awards for Outstanding Television Campaign and Television Spot, the Silver ADDY Award for Outstanding Multimedia Campaign and Collateral Material, and the Bronze Telly Award in Entertainment.
He has been a member of the American BAR Association since 1995. Burke sat on the Florida Board of Directors for CTAM and was a featured speaker for multiple state-wide events. He is active in local AIDS Awareness programs, and with Big Brothers and Big Sisters.
