Advantages
	Allows you to watch any channel while recording any channel.

Disadvantages
	Will not allow channel selection with the TV or VCR remote.
	Requires two converter boxes and a VCR kit (splitter and A/B switch) if TV does not have multiple inputs.
	If A/B switch is used, recording will not be in stereo.

To Connect Using A/B Switch:

A.	Connect cable from the wall to "CABLE IN" (1) on the splitter.
B.	Connect one "OUT" (2) on the splitter to "CABLE IN" (3) on set-top terminal A.
C.	Connect "TO TV" (4) on set-top terminal A to "B" (5) on the A/B switch.
D.	Connect other "OUT" (6) on splitter to "CABLE IN" (7) on set-top terminal B.
E.	Connect the "TO TV" (8) on set-top terminal B to "ANT IN" (9) on the VCR.
F.	Connect "OUT/TO TV" (10) on the VCR to "A" (11) on the A/B switch.
G.	Connect the "TV" (12) on the A/B switch to "VHF/CATV" (13) on the TV.
H.	Plug TV power cord into the outlet on the back of set-top terminal B.
I.	Plug set-top terminal power cord into electrical outlet.

To Connect Without A/B Switch:

For stereo TVs with multiple inputs an A/B switch is not necessary. Follow steps A, B and D. Use RCA jacks from set-top A's output to one input of TV (Alt 4-5, 12-13). Use RCA jacks (Alt 8-9) from set-top B's output to the VCR input, and from the VCR ouput to another TV input (Alt 10-12). Follow steps H and I to complete the hookup.

We recommend utilizing surge protection for all electronic components. Plugging terminal into surge protector will now protect outlet on rear of set-top terminal.

for this hook-up. There is an additional monthly charge for the second set-top terminal.
