VCR Hookup C
VCR Hookup C
Get Adobe Acrobat

Advantages
Allows you to record Basic or Standard channels while watching ANY other channel.

Disadvantages
Will not allow recording of digital services, premium channels, or Pay-Per-View or iCONTROL channels.
Requires a VCR kit (splitter and A/B switch) if TV does not have multiple inputs.

To Connect Using A/B Switch:
A.
Connect cable from the wall to “CABLE IN” (1) on the splitter.
B.
Connect one “OUT” (2) on the splitter to “ANT IN” (3) on the VCR.
C.
Connect “OUT TO TV” (4) on the VCR to the “A” (5) on the A/B switch.
D.
Connect other “OUT” (6) on splitter to “CABLE IN” (7) on the set-top terminal.
E.
Connect “TO TV” (8) on the set-top terminal to “B” (9) on the A/B switch.
F.
Connect “TV” (10) on the A/B switch to “VHF/CATV” (11) on the TV.
G.
Plug TV power cord into the outlet on the back of the set-top terminal.
H.
Plug set-top terminal power cord into electrical outlet.

To Connect Without A/B Switch:
For stereo TVs with multiple inputs an A/B switch is not necessary. Connect cable from the wall to "CABLE IN" on the splitter. Connect one "OUT" on the splitter directly to the VCR input (2-3). Connect other "OUT" on the splitter to "CABLE IN" on the set-top terminal (6-7). RCA jacks (Alt 8-11) should be used from the set-top terminal output to the TV input, and also from the VCR output to a different TV input (Alt 4-5). Follow steps G and H to complete the hookup.

We recommend utilizing surge protection for all electronic components. Plugging terminal into surge protector will now protect outlet on rear of terminal.
