Get Adobe Acrobat

Advantages
Allows you to record ANY channel while watching ANY Basic or Standard channel.

Disadvantages
Requires a VCR kit (splitter and A/B switch) if TV does not have multiple inputs.
If A/B switch used recording will not be in stereo.

To Connect Using A/B Switch:
A.
Connect cable from the wall to "CABLE IN" (1) on the splitter.
B.
Connect one "OUT" (2) on the splitter to "A" (3) on the A/B switch.
C.
Connect other "OUT" (4) on the splitter to "CABLE IN" (5) on the set-top terminal.
D.
Connect "TO TV" (6) on the set-top terminal to "ANT IN" (7) on the VCR.
E.
Connect "OUT TO TV" (8) on the VCR to "B" (9) on the A/B switch.
F.
Connect "TV" (10) on the A/B switch to "VHF/CATV" (11) on the TV.
G.
Plug TV power cord into the outlet on the back of the set-top terminal.
H.
Plug set-top terminal power cord into electrical outlet.

To Connect Without A/B Switch:
For stereo TVs with multiple inputs an A/B switch is not necessary. Connect cable from the wall to "CABLE IN" on the splitter. Connect one "OUT" on the splitter directly to the TV "RF" input (Alt 2-3). Connect other "OUT" on the splitter to "CABLE IN" on the set-top terminal. RCA jacks (Alt 6-7) should be used from the set-top terminal output to the VCR input, and from the VCR output to the TV input (Alt 8-11). Follow steps G and H to complete hookup.

We recommend utilizing surge protection for all electronic components. Plugging terminal into surge protector will now protect outlet on rear of terminal.
