1. What does it cost?
With the Digital Video Recorder, there’s no expensive electronic equipment to buy, just a low monthly subscription along with the monthly rental price for the digital converter.

If you are already a Digital customer, when you order DVR, we will upgrade your digital cable box to a DVR-enabled one for free if you bring your old box to our lobby to exchange or our technicians will make a service call to install your DVR-enabled box.

With the Digital Video Recorder, you can watch what you want to watch on TV, when you want to watch it!

2. What are the features and benefits of the Digital Video Recorder?
The Digital Video Recorder puts TV on your schedule - so you can watch what you want, when you want to watch it. With the touch of a button on your remote control, it automatically finds and digitally records your favorite shows so you can turn them on at anytime. There's no need to remember to program your VCR, track schedule changes or fuss with videotapes. And you won't miss a minute of your favorite show or the Big Game because you have the power to pause live TV and do your own instant replays. You can even fast forward and rewind your recorded programs. And, unlike other digital video recorder users, Time Warner Cable customers don't need to buy any expensive electronic equipment. With just one low monthly price you can watch what you want when you want.

3. Do I have to have Digital Cable to get the Digital Video Recorder?
Yes, to get the Digital Video Recorder customers must have Time Warner Digital Cable. The Digital Video Recorder relies on digital technology. For our Digital customers, we will upgrade your Digital Cable box to a DVR-enabled one for free if you pick it up in the lobby with your DVR subscription.

4. Do I have to buy the Digital Video Recorder equipment?
No, there is no need to purchase any expensive equipment and there's no extra box on your TV. However, customers must have Time Warner Digital Cable. For our Digital customers, we will upgrade your Digital Cable box to a DVR-enabled one for free if you pick it up in the lobby.

5. Can I use the Digital Video Recorder on any TV in my house?
Yes, you can get the Digital Video Recorder for any TV in your house that has Digital Cable, however each TV requires its own Digital Video Recorder subscription.

6. Can I still use my VCR/DVD player with the Digital Video Recorder?
Yes, the Digital Video Recorder works with all home entertainment equipment that Digital Cable works with, including VCRs, DVD players and surround sound systems.

7. Does the Digital Video Recorder service tie up my phone line?
No. Unlike some other digital video recorders, Time Warner Cable's Digital Video Recorder service does not require a phone line to call for programming information.

8. Do I have to sign a contract or pay a cancellation fee for the Digital Video Recorder or the Digital Video Recorder-enabled Digital Cable box?
No, there is no need to sign a contract beyond the basic subscriber agreement and there are no cancellation fees.

9. How many tuners does the Digital Video Recorder have?
The Digital Video Recorder has two built-in tuners.

10. How many shows can I record?
With the Digital Video Recorder's built in dual tuners, you can record two shows at one time! Now you never have to choose between shows. Just record them and play them back when it's convenient for you.

11. How many hours can I record?
With the Digital Video Recorder, you can record up to 40 hours of standard video.
