Barbara Kelly Barbara Kelly has been associated with the cable industry for 25 years. She oversees Programming and Sales for the New York City region and is responsible for the overall operation of the company’s Hudson Valley, Staten Island, New Jersey and Mt. Vernon systems. Ms. Kelly has been a driving force behind the company’s deployment of advanced digital video services, starting in 2000 with the launch of DTV-Digital Television. Since then, she has continued to deliver an expansive digital platform of products and services to more than 1 million customers. These include Video On Demand, digital video recorders (DVRs) and High-Definition service. She is also responsible for new product development and is currently preparing to bring innovative services such as Start Over, a feature that allows customers to automatically restart a program in progress, to the division. In her previous position as Vice President of Customer Service, she spearheaded the installation of state-of-the art technology at the company’s largest call center with a staff of over 400 in Flushing. In 1994, under her direction, the company introduced a customer service guarantee campaign entitled, "We Just Might Surprise You," later adopted as an industry-wide initiative and implemented by Time Warner Cable systems across the country. Prior to her appointment to Senior Vice President and General Manager in 1999, Ms. Kelly held the position of Vice President, Marketing and Business Operations. In this capacity, she played a pivotal role in the creation and restructuring of programming and service tiers that offered customers greater options and value. Ms. Kelly received her B.S. in Business Management from St. Francis College. She is the recipient of multiple industry awards from Cable Television Advertising and Marketing (CTAM) and the Pro-Max International Gold Medallion. Ms. Kelly resides in New York City with her husband and two sons. |
