Subscriber Privacy Notice
As a subscriber to cable service furnished by Time Warner Cable, you are entitled under federal law to know the limitations imposed upon cable operators in the collection and disclosure of personally identifiable subscriber information, the type of personally identifiable information collected, how such subscriber information is used, under what conditions it is disclosed, the period during which it is maintained, and the rights of subscribers concerning such information and disclosure. This law relates only to personally identifiable information. It also applies only to information that you have furnished to us or certain information that is transmitted over our cable facilities. Some of our services permit you to direct communications outside of our system. This law does not apply to information in communications via our Road Runner service once you have directed such information out of our system or control, for example, to the electronic sites of on-line services or to sites on the Internet.
In order that we may render service to you, we keep regular business records that contain the following types of personally identifiable information: your name, address, telephone numbers, social security number, credit information, subscriber correspondence, and demographic data such as the number and ages of individuals in the household. Our records also include information on billing, payment, maintenance and repairs, how many television sets you have connected to cable or that are cable ready and their locations in your home, the number and location of PCs and your PC configuration (for Road Runner subscribers), the service options you have chosen, and other installation information.
We also keep records of research concerning subscriber satisfaction and viewing and user habits, which are obtained from subscriber interviews and questionnaires. In addition, to render the Road Runner service to our subscribers, our cable system automatically collects some information on subscriber use of this service, including information on the choices that a subscriber makes among the range of services offered, when a subscriber visits a site, and how long he or she visits the site. Our uses of the information are limited to the purposes listed below.
When you use the cable system to transmit information addressed to other individuals, for example, through "electronic mail" (e-mail), federal law permits us to collect information about the content of those transmissions when it is necessary to provide a cable or other service you have requested, in order to prevent unauthorized access to services or to subscriber data, or with your written or electronic consent. Information contained in your transmissions directed at or addressed to Time Warner Cable, or services offered or areas maintained by it, is information necessary to provide a service you have requested. Our detailed business records are used generally to help make sure you are being properly billed for the services you receive; to send you pertinent information regarding your cable or other services; to improve the quality of the services we provide; and for tax and accounting purposes. The information on subscriber use of the Road Runner Service also is used to understand subscriber reactions to the content offerings, gateways and other services we offer and to evaluate and develop the network. It helps us to customize the Road Runner Service based on the interests of our subscribers, and helps us to be more selective in the types of commercial communications we address to you.
Time Warner Cable considers the personally identifiable information we keep to be confidential. Unless prior written or electronic consent is obtained, we will disclose to third parties personal information that we maintain related to our subscribers only when it is necessary to render cable or other service to you or to carry out related business activities in the ordinary course of business for our ordinary business purposes, at a frequency that serves the particular business need. The types of persons to whom information about you may be disclosed in the course of our business include our employees and the employees of Time Warner Entertainment Company, L.P., and other related legal entities; agents; billing and collection services; installation, repair, and subscriber assistance subcontractors; program guide distributors; software vendors; and firms conducting market research for us. Time Warner Cable may also disclose personally identifiable information about you to representatives of governmental, taxing or regulatory authorities in furtherance of our legitimate business activities. Federal law authorizes all of these disclosures. In addition, federal law authorizes us to disclose personally identifiable information to a governmental entity or other third party when disclosure is required pursuant to a court order. We are required to notify you of such legal requests for your records. If the court order is being sought by a governmental entity, you will be afforded the opportunity to contest in court any claims made in support of the court order.
Unless you object, federal law also allows us to disclose certain information to others, including advertisers and direct mail or telemarketers, for non-cable related purposes, including product advertising, direct marketing, and research.
Disclosure for such purposes is limited to your name, address, and the particular services to which you subscribe, but cannot include the extent of your viewing or use of a particular service or the nature of any transaction you may make over the cable system. We typically provide names and addresses of subscribers to third parties that we find appropriate as often as requested. If you wish to have us remove your name from such lists, please contact us at the system office at 120 East 23rd Street, NY, NY 10009 or 212-358-0900.
We will then not make your name and address available for such non-cable purposes.
We will maintain personally identifiable information about you only so long as it is necessary for our business purposes. This period of time lasts as long as you are a subscriber and potentially up to fifteen additional years so that we can comply with tax and accounting requirements.
You have the right to inspect our records that contain information about you and to correct any errors in such information. If you wish to inspect our records at our local business office, located at 120 East 23rd Street, NY, NY 10009.
Please notify us in writing thirty (30) days in advance and an appointment will be arranged promptly during our regular business hours.
As a cable subscriber, you can enforce your rights under federal law.

Road Runner Acceptable Use Policy
Road Runner seeks to create and foster an on-line community that can be used and enjoyed by all its members. To further that goal, Road Runner has developed an Acceptable Use Policy. Although much of what is included here is common sense, Road Runner takes these issues very seriously and will enforce its rules to ensure enjoyment by all its members. Road Runner therefore has reserved the right to remove any content posted to its system which it deems offensive, inappropriate or violative of its policies. It also reserves the right to suspend or cancel a subscriber's account for engaging in inappropriate conduct. (Subscribers, of course, also remain legally responsible for any such acts). In using Road Runner, subscribers accept these restrictions as well as those set forth in the Subscription Agreement and agree to use the system only for lawful purposes and not to use or allow others to use Road Runner:
- to post or transmit hate speech, threats of physical violence, or harassing content;
- to post or transmit material in violation of the copyright laws;
- to post or transmit content that is legally obscene or violates child pornography statutes or contains graphic visual depictions of sexual acts, visual depictions of sexually explicit conduct involving children, or depictions of children, the primary appeal of which is prurient;
- to post or transmit other sexually oriented material that, in the specific context, is offensive or inappropriate;
- to post or transmit commercial or bulk e-mail without the prior written approval of Road Runner;
- to post or transmit off-topic or commercial messages on bulletin boards;
- to engage in illegal, unlawful, or tortious conduct or other conduct that interferes with Road Runner's ability to provide service or interferes with the rights of others including, but not limited to libel, invasion of privacy, consumer fraud, unauthorized dissemination of trade secrets, violation of the trademark laws, hacking, or transmittal of commercially restricted information.
As described in more detail in the online Subscriber Privacy Notice, Road Runner may disclose certain subscriber information, limited to your name, address, and the particular services to which you subscribe to certain commercial entities such as advertisers and direct mail or telemarketers. In addition, you should be aware that in keeping with federal and state law, Road Runner, in response to court order or specified legal process or certain kinds of emergency governmental requests, may turn over other information such as the content of e-mail.
An Important Note About Multiple Connections
How many computers can I have connected to one Road Runner modem?
You can have up to six computers (a primary connection plus five additional IP connections) networked to a Road Runner modem with all six users simultaneously and independently accessing the Road Runner service.
How is the connection done?
You will need to install a LAN or Hub in order to inter-connect your computers. LAN kits are available at most major PC retailers or can be purchased directly from PC equipment. Road Runner is not responsible for completing the installation of the LAN or Hub.
What does it cost to have multiple connections?
Road Runner charges a monthly fee of $4.95 per additional user requiring simultaneous Internet access (an additional IP address). Each modem can support up to 5 additional outlet connections.
Does Road Runner support my Hub and the additional LAN IP connections?
Road Runner provides subscriber support and technical assistance for internet connectivity to your modem and primary computer connection. Road Runner does NOT provide customer support or troubleshooting support for Local Networks. Should you experience any problems with the functionality of your Hub or LAN, please refer those issues to your PC retailer or LAN equipment manufacturer.
Can I connect the cable modem to a server?
As stated in your Subscription Agreement, you are not authorized to connect the cable modem to any server (or to any computer running server applications that provide similar protocol services over the Road Runner Services).
