CableCard gives the customers the option to connect to cable TV without a set-top box on the new generation of Digital Cable Ready Devices.
- Customers must have a digital cable ready TV.
- Monthly Rate - $3.10
- Field installation only
- Digital Cable Packages and prices include 1 digital box.
> The CableCard is limited because current CableCard ready TV’s utilize one-way technology. CableCard customers will not be able to receive programming and services that requires a two-way signal.
> As of 2006, all new digital services (including channels) will be transmitted using a two-way signal, which is not supported by current CableCard televisions.
