Hometown Heroes

Honoring individuals who are making the world a better place
for our children… One neighborhood at a time.
Hometown Hero History
Hometown Heroes is a grassroots effort that Time Warner Cable created in 1998 to honor outstanding individuals who made a sincere commitment to benefiting the lives of children within our communities. This initiative was designed to acknowledge the "unsung heroes" who pledge support and drive the effort within their communities to help our future generation excel in today's world.
Honored Hometown Heroes come from all walks of life comprising a diverse group including teachers, youth activists, business and medical professionals, tireless fundraisers and friends. Many volunteers and have even created their own volunteer programs. Their contributions are varied, but all reflect a passionate commitment to the welfare of children.
